Bruce Dukes - Senior Winemaker and Director

Bruce has twenty years of valuable postgraduate industry experience, shared between iconic producers; Niebaum-Coppola Winery in the Napa Valley of California (Assistant Winemaker), Pierro Margaret River Vineyards in Western Australia (Winemaker and General Manager) and currently as the Senior Winemaker and Director for Naturaliste Vintners. Bruce has assisted in the establishment of several “five star” producers in the Margaret River area.

His approach to grape growing and winemaking has been shaped by a wide range of high quality industry experience, in conjunction with a degree in Agricultural Science from the University of Western Australia, and a Masters degree in Viticulture and Enology from the University of California, Davis. His deep technical and applied understanding of viticulture, and how viticultural parameters affect wine quality result in very high quality wines and meaningful feed back to clients.

Bruce has several publications in fully refereed scientific journals, as well as having authored a chapter in a winemaking text-book. He currently prefers to focus on hands on winemaking and viticultural consulting. Viticultural consulting is biased toward fine-tuning vineyards to ensure that the fruit is farmed to the correct specifications for the intended wine-style. He was awarded "Best WA Winemaker 2011" by Wines of Western Australia.

Remi Guise - Winemaker

Born in Cape Province South Africa, Remi completed a BSc.(Agric.)(Viticulture & Oenology) in 2006 at the University of Stellenbosch. He then took up a position as Assistant Winemaker at the Meerendal Wine Estate in Durbanville, a 300 year old estate producing quality wines in South Africa.

Remi joined Naturaliste Vintners in 2008, was promoted to Red Wine Specialist in 2009, Operations Winemaker in 2012 and now Winemaker after 6 years with us.

Remi is passionate about New World winemaking and wines for their ability to equal or surpass their Old World counterparts in both quality and integrity and to have an identity which is an expression of the New World and all it has to offer.

Kane Grove - Assistant Winemaker - Operations and Red Wine

Kane joined Naturaliste Vintners in 2010 after completing 8 vintages at Leeuwin and Howard Park and completing a Dip. Science(ECU). He is currently studying his Grad.Dip in Winemaking at Curtin University.

Starting as a cellar hand, Kane has built his skill base from the operational aspects to gaining a complete understanding of the entire winemaking process - from vine to wine. His passion for wines is underpinned by a drive to make the best wines possible from what is arguably one of the best winemaking regions in the world.

He is in charge of implementing the day to day operations in the winery with a particular focus on red wines.

Sudeep Parial - Assistant Winemaker - White Wine and Laboratory

sudeepSudeep joined Naturaliste Vintners in 2010 after completing his BSc. (Biotechnology) from James Cook University and Grad. Dip in Winemaking from Curtin University.

During his Biotechnology studies he “discovered” wines and in particular the quality of Australian wines. Coming from a biotechnology background he was fascinated by the science that goes with creating great wines. His newly discovered interest in wines prompted a change in career direction from biotechnology to winemaking.

Sudeep is responsible for overseeing all our laboratory and analytical chemistry requirements and has a particular focus on white wine production.
